LCRV5-A External Bypass Soft Starter from China Factory - Reliable Heat Dissipation, Top Suppliers
Product overview
External bypass soft starter itself is not integrated bypass contactor, so it need to configure an additional external AC contactor matching the rated current of motor. When the motor reaches the rated speed, it will through the relay control the running of bypass contactor to replace the thyristor that has completed the startup task, and provide full voltage for the normal operation of the motor to reduce the heat loss of thyristor. This type of bypass soft starter is relatively cheap, but the installation and wiring are relatively complex, secondary complete equipment cost is high, and requires more space in the cabinet. Its advantage is that it can flexibly choose different specifications of bypass contactor according to the actual needs, and can realize the operation of many motors controlled by one bypass soft starter.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q
Why does an external bypass soft starter require an additional AC contactor?
Since the external bypass soft starter does not have an integrated bypass contactor, it must be configured with an additional external AC contactor matching the rated current of the motor to take over operation once the motor reaches rated speed.
Q
How does the bypass contactor work during the motor startup process?
When the motor reaches its rated speed, a relay controls the bypass contactor to replace the thyristor. This provides full voltage for the normal operation of the motor and reduces heat loss of the thyristor.
Q
What are the main advantages of using this type of bypass soft starter?
The main advantages are its lower purchase cost, the flexibility to choose different specifications of bypass contactors based on actual needs, and the capability to control multiple motors with a single bypass soft starter.
Q
What are the disadvantages of an external bypass soft starter?
The installation and wiring are relatively complex, the secondary complete equipment cost is high, and it requires more space inside the cabinet compared to integrated models.
Q
What is the open size of the panel for the LCRV5-A series?
The open size of the panel for the LCRV5-A External Bypass Soft Starter is H112*W88 mm.
